File is not accessible. Access is Denied

I had my 500GB disk crash, which I replaced, but now I cannot access some of
my photo files that are on an external hard drive. I believe that the files
are still there, but I cannot access them. Can someone please help?

A good starting point for this discussion is to say ***what***
happens when you try to access your files. Can't find them?
Access denied? Incorrect file format? Partition not visible?
 
In this case you have to seize ownership of these
folders. Click Start / Help and search for the word
"ownership" to see how it's done.
