How do I automatically set up in word, so that my file or path will
automatically be added to all documents that I generate or save.

Please advise

Insert the Field for FileName and check to add the path in the footer section
of your normal.dot template. All new documents will have this information in
the footer area.

Do NOT do this! It will cause all kinds of knock-on problems e.g. with
labels. Instead create a new template for documents that you want such a
footer to appear on and use that template to create your documents, leaving
normal.dot alone. Or simply insert the autotext for filename and path at the
end of your document.

Although this is the correct process (using the "Filename and path" entry
from the AutoText menu on the Header and Footer toolbar), we strongly
recommend that you do this in a document template, *not* in Normal.dot, as
it will cause problems with labels. See

Yep, the file name and path will definitely be place in the footer on
all documents - even on labels.

It's best not to modify the Normal.dot in this way due to this aspect.
The recommended method is to create a new template with this
information and create new documents based on the new template when
the file name and path is desired.
