File hal.dll

When i install, windows xp pro with sp2, after format device c and install
some files from windows, then instaltion needs reboot, but when system comes
back i recived and error: please send copy of hal.dll because it's corrupted
or does not exist.
Well, i do that some times, but i don't have sucess.
What can i do?, do you thin is someting with harware, like disck?
