I have a Windows XP Professional. Been trying to figure out a few things by
myself, without asking my husband. I have been trying to find what file
extensions I have on my computer, (what extension goes to what program),
seems like the only info I can find is what extentions are compatible on all
XP. I just want to know what is on my computer and where can I find it.
Also, here recently, on my pointer, occassionally a little disk shows up next
to my pointer. It shows up for a minute then disappears. what does that
mean? Any info would be helpful. Thank you.

The little "disk" symbol could also be showing a disk trying to "autostart"
in your CD-ROM or CD-RW/ROM drives: if you don't know a Disk is in the Drive,
you might not think to check. It isn't "stupid" of you not to have checked:
just a simple oversight. If you find a disk there, of course, remove it: if
not, after you check your mouse pointer "symbol" cache (click "Start" then
"Control Pannel" and double-click on the Mouse Symbol and then click on the
"Pointer Tab") to see if that is a legitimate animated mouse pointer.
