file encryption help

I was having problems with my PC. I had all the files in
my profile encrypted. I copied My Documents to my D
drive. I deleted my old profile and created a new
profile. When I tried to copy the files back to my new
profile I was unable to do so because of the encryption.
Is there anyway I can do to recover my data??????

Hi,

Did you export the encryption certificate or create a recovery agent before
doing this? If so, now is the time to use them. If not, say goodbye to your
files, recovery will not be possible without one of those tools. That's what
encryption is all about - securing the files, and it works quite well.

If you did not back up the encryption certificates, and cannot recover
that old profile then the files are *totally* irretrievable.
