File Deletion Error - Computer Accesses Floppy Drive First

I just ran on of these registry first aid programs that are supposed to
"clean up" the system registry. Now, when I try to delete a file from my
hard drive the computer trys to access the floppy drive before giving me an
error stating "Access Denied. Source File May Be In Use". Ive tried deleting
the files in Safe Mode, but the same thing happens. Any suggestions would be
appreciated. Thanks!
 
Hi Henzej,

Does the registry cleaner have an "undo" feature? If so, use it. There is no
real need for any of these in an NT environment, and problems such as you
have encountered are frequently the result. You may need to invoke a
registry backup the hard way if you are unable to resolve it. This article

Hi Rick,

Thanks for your input. I've tried to used the "restore" funtion in the
registry cleaner, but it doesn't seem to have any effect. What's weird is
that if I select two files to delete, there seems to be no problem. I'll
check out the link you sent. Thanks again.
