I have resently created three seperate ppt files of Christmas pictures with
Christmas music. I want to send them to my brother in Baghdad but his
computer does not have power point. He can not connect his compter to the
internet to download a free viewer. How can I save these files into a format
that he can view in Windows Media Player or on a regular DVD player?

1, You can email the Viewer installer file to him.
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...27-43ab-4f24-90b7-a94784af71a4&DisplayLang=en.
Then if he installs it and you email the presentations, he'll be able to play
them.

- or -

2. You could capture the presentations as video files to be played in WMP, which
is a lot more work and might not be as satisfactory. See
http://www.powerpointbackgrounds.com/powerpoint-to-dvd.htm.

- or -

3. If you plan to mail it to him, you could create an autorun CD that runs on
his computer and nothing is installed or needed on his system. See:

Make an AutoRun CD

Sonia,

I have tried option #3. I actually downloaded your software. I sent you an
email on your aladat.com email address. Everything works great except the
music I had attached. Is there anyway to get the music to play? It is a
really important part of the presentation.

I have replied to your email. I'm guessing that you might be using PowerPoint
97 or 2000 and I have included the step you need to take if that is the case.

Jane,

I finally got the other to work after I used the viewer converter correclty.
Thanks for your info. I am interested in creating DVD's also. I think I
will use the trial version to see if I like it. Thanks!

Sonia,

I am so excited. I finally got it to work. I guess I just misunderstood
the viewer converter. I thought once I downloaded to the computer that was
all I had to do. Once I went through and converted the PPT file it worked
beatuifully. I can't wait to get this in the mail to him in the morning.

One last question and I will leave you alone. I only tried this with one of
the files. I thought it would be easier to get one working then I would try
all three. Do you think it would be ok to put all three on one CD or do you
think I should make three seperate CD's? I was not sure if there would be a
problem ending one presentation and then going straight into the next.
Really I am just not sure if the program will do that or not. Thanks again
for all your help! I could not have done it without you.
