file conversion problem, I thinkl

does anyone know how to change the vile conversion on notepad everything is
opening the same way, scrambled. I asked this same question a couple of
nights ago, and I am still stuck. I need to send out important documents and
can't make changes. Anyone anywhere. I will be more than glad to go into
greater detail if there is someone out there willing to help.

Notepad has always been brain dead. This situation is not going away. It
is a plain text only editor.

There are some notepad replacements around, but you will need to find them.

I usually use Word, Wordperfect, or Open Office for documents that a plain
text only editor cannot handle.

Gosh it sounds like you are trying to open up a document that isn't in
plain text. Like Word, Word Perfect, or something. What is the file
extension of the file? Like .doc, or what? If it is .pdf, you are almost
virtually screwed.

I like using MS Word 2000 for many plain text documents myself. ;)

What's the source of these documents? What program where they created in?
