File Association

What do I need to do to associate a file to a program and icon. The
registry entries that I use for non XP Embedded doesn't seem to do the job.
Is there a component that I need to make sure I apply.

Norman,

Not sure what you want to do.. Do you just want to have a shortcut for your
file with a custom icon, etc.? Check this
http://msdn.microsoft.com/embedded/community/tips/xp/shortcut/default.aspx.

For "actual" file association, you will need to mess up with
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT] key. Check MSDN for more details.
