File Access

Hi All,

At my home, I have 3 Win XP Pcs. One for me , my firiend and for my cousin.
We are all connected to same network. All C drives are shared and we can all
access our folders. I have a personal folder and do not want to share it with
my friend. Is there a way to keep C drive sharing and deny access to only a
folder?

XP Pro or Home?

Then in Windows Explorer go to Tools-Folder Options-View (I think - I'm not
on Windows at the moment), scroll right down to the bottom and uncheck "use
Simple File Sharing". Then when you right-click on a folder you should see
a security tab - you can deny access to other users there.


But I wonder the solution in Win Home Also.

Same thing, but you can only do it in Safe mode, logged on as The
Administrator....
