My wifes & my machines are networked, both running Win XP Pro. It's
possible for my wife to see files on my machine, but some of them aren't
accessible. She wants to be able to copy over music files and images from
the digital camera. Some files can be copied w/o any problem but others
will just not go. We get the access denied popup. I assume it must be the
permissions settings but I don't know how to change them.

Any help would be much appreciated.

TIA

Ian

This article describes how to take ownership of a file or folder
to which you have been denied access:

You can change permissions by right clicking on a file and choosing
properties and then clicking the security tab. If you don't see that there,
go to tools, then folder options. Click the view tab and uncheck "Use
simple file sharing (Recommended)." This will allows you to have more
control over share and security settings.
