Hi,

I have "link to file" the images of my powerpoint
document and I would like to know if it is possible to
see the field codes in Powerpoint like in Word? I would
like to see the link of the images that I have inserted
because when I copy my powerpoint document and the images
that are linked to another computer and open the
powerpoint document the images do not show... So I would
like to see if the link is related to which path
(relative or absolute) Thanks for your help...

No; there aren't any field codes in PPT as there are in Word.
But our free FixLinks demo gives you a links report that includes linked
images.

Links to images are always absolute, never relative. The free demo will
convert them to relative links for you or convert linked images to embedded
ones. If you don't have any movie, sound or other links to worry about, the
free demo is all you'd need.

Visit http://www.pptools.com and look for the info on FixLinks there.

The trick to always make this work is to put your images in the same folder
as your presentation THEN link them. That way if you move the files (all of
them), the links will always work. To see the paths, open your
presentation, click "Edit", "Links".

Bill, you're gonna hate this.

Try it. You'll hate it too.

That works for sounds and movies, but not images. Linked pictures are *always*
fully pathed unless you beat them with VBA.

You'll hate this too, then. Edit, Links shows you OLE links, not picture,
movie or sound links.

Don't you hate it when Monday hangs around until Thursday?
