Hi,
I often get this error when doing

sdimgr xyz.sdi /readpart:X:

which X is where the source is.

Any one know how to get around it?
Sometimes I have to reboot, or fomat to make it work.

Thanks!

Greg

Greg,

The readpart command tries to lock the volume. If a file is open on the
volume or is held by the kernel cache manager, or if NTFS is trying to
compress it, this operation will fail. The only real work around is to make
sure you don't open any file before trying this. You can for the cache to
get flushed out to disk and try again. If X: is removable (e.g. a volume on
an SDI Disk) then you shouldn't have this problem.

HTH,
Thanks
- Saad
