Fax Transmission

When attempting to transmit or receive a fax thru Fax
Console using Windows XP, I get the message "an error has
occured when sending/receiving the fax". I am using my
mobile phone as a modem through Verizon's Express
Network. Is there a compatability issue?

Thanks for your help.
 
Mobile phone? That does not sound like an analog fax modem to me. An analog
fax modem is required for faxing.
