fax service

Hi
I can not locate the fax service which should be on the window compenents add on
My win xp is an oem version which came with IBM R 40 laptop so I don't have any
CD to install this fax service.
Any idea where else I can find it

Your computer should have a recovery disk, Windows will be on that disk.
In the control panel, Add or remove programs, on the left pane click Add/Remove
Windows components, tick Fax Services
 
Did you look for it in "Add or Remove Windows components"? It is in
Add/Remove programs.
