I saved favorites from old computer on a CD & floppy.
when attempting to install on new computer with XP, the
transfer wizard says to install disk when it is already
in drive. is there another way to move to favorites
folder?

Forget the wizard. Insert the floppy or CD and open it up. Click Folders on
the toolbar. Go to:My Computer>Local Disk C>Documents and Settings>Your user
name, you will see the Favorites folder there. Just drag it in.

If it is easier, insert the floppy or CD and Send to My Documents, then drag
from there to Favorites folder.

Forget the wizard. Open the drive with the disk using My Computer.
Highlight and copy. Then go to C/Documents and Settings/<folder of
destination> (mine is Owner/Favorites. Do an Edit>Paste. Can arrange in
that folder as desired.
