"Favorites" side bar

Now when I click for my favorites, the side bar is always set to "pin", i
would like it unpin and hide. What setting do I need to change?

Are you referring to the Favorites menu that appears on the left side of the
Internet Explorer window when you click the Favorites button?

Use the favourites shortcut on the File menu.

The shortcut on the Standard button menu ( right click on any bar and toggle
it on and off to see) will always give a fixed menu on the left of the page.
