Favorites massed up

I have IE v.6 when I open the Favories the area were the links are is gray
the "add to favorites" and the "organize" aren't there. please help .
 
Please mention the Operating System you're using. BTW, this seems to be a
problem with incorrect 'Appearance' settings.
