lately when i click on some of my links in my favorites
menu, it opens up a page that is completely different
from what it is supposed to be. sometimes it is one of
my other links - it's like my favorites are just all
mixed up about 10% of the time and i never know what's
actually going to open up. i also sometimes get webpages
that just have one sentence of text that says something
like, "there's nothing on this page to see" (that
happened once on a supposedly microsoft site that i was
researching to fix this problem).

i have been scanning for viruses and haven't turned up
anything for a week or so.
help?!

.
scan for spy software ...someone has re-directed your
computer to their site and they choose what you can see

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

Let AD-Aware Scan your system for advertising Spyware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com

and:

SpyBot-S&D
http://security.kolla.de/

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

Keep them up to date.
