Favorites folder

Any time I click on favorites from IE6.0 or open my
favorits folder manually from the explorer, or click on
a favorite from the start menu, the computer hangs and
sometimes it will tell me "Favorites NOT RESPONDING"
I only have about 26 favorites, and they are all verified
as good sites, but no matter when i try to use one, the
computer will just sit there and go dorment until i kill
the browser with cntl alt del.

Any suggestions would be most greatly appreciated.

Tried that already. Still no changes.
Maybe it's time to just toss XcrapP and
go to something like ME or more stable 98
