Is there any way to non-manually alphabetize my folders under the favorites
menu?

This doesn't work opening the Favorites pane by clicking the Favorites
Star button.
Open favorites from the top Toolbar. (Between View & Tools).
Right click the expanded menu.
Scroll down almost to the bottom.
Left click: Sort by Name.
