fat32 to ntfs

The ideal cluster size for NTFS is 4 KB. If you are not
careful, you may end up with a 512 byte cluster size
and your system will run slow. Read the following:

CONVERTING FAT32 to NTFS in Windows XP

I would say the benefits of NTFS far outway any issues regarding
cluster size.

typical MS no info info....

your article references Setup....My HDD has 800 files with Setup in
the name. which one does the 'convertfat' article mean???

during the XP upgrade, there was no option to convert.

and in general, why can't MS streamline this kind of thing instead of
forcing us to do several different arcane procedures??

Anyway, What 'Setup' is referred to?

And what in the heck is the [Unattended] answer section???????? this
kind of MS 'Help' is unintelligible. Like having to learn combustion
technology to drive a car.

can anyone simplify this for me so I don't have to buy 3 other
programs to convert this?

will the MS 'convert' do it properly with the correct cluster size, etc?

thank you
