FAT 32 to NTFS on 2nd partition

I did a clean install of Windows XP Home. I chose to use
the NTFS file system on my "C" drive. My single hard
drive was already partitioned (C and D). I left the "D"
drive with its FAT 32 file system unchanged.
I would like to change the "D" drive to NTSF. Can I do
this using my Windows XP disk via 'setup' or is there a
better way?

Yes, you can convert your D drive to NTFS. You can do this by following the
instructions on the MS Support Site:

You can safely convert your hard drive to NTFS whenever desired,
without having to format the partition and reinstall everything. As
always when performing any serious changes, back up any important data
before proceeding, just in case. A little advance preparation is also
strongly recommended, so you can avoid any performance hits caused by
the default cluster size:
