I hate the way that double click closes the browser tab. Maybe you can
set this differently in preferences, I don't know. Crazy Browser is
better IMHO

I just checked it out, it is a pdf file, colorful and nice, easy to
read.

The built in help is a bit short, so this tutorial is a welcome
additional help.

I think this help file should/will be included with the program in
future versions.

Faststone image browser is the best I have found, it replaced irfanview
as default opener of picture formats a year ago.

Every time I doubleclick a picture file in my file manager the picture
comes up in full screen. Move the mouse to the top border of the screen
to see and select thumbnails of all other pictures in the folder. Bump
left screen to access photo effects.
Doubleclick the fullscreen picture to get into the main part of the
Faststone viewer program. Or use Esc on keyboard or the rightclick menu
to close the program

The author is responsive to requests. I mailed him tonight with a few
suggestions to make it even better. Last time I suggested a new feature
it was implemented very quickly.

To the person who thinks crazy browser is better:
We are talking about an image browser, you are talking about a web
browser.
There are no tabs in Faststone image browser, as far as I know, except
in the settings.

IrfanView remains my default, although that may partly be because I've
invested so much time already in getting familiar with it, But I agree
that FastStone has a very impressive interface.

As a matter of curiosity, how many FastStone users have implemented
the strong recommendation to organise all images in chronological
folders? ("People who have adopted this system are universal in their
praise for it.") I'm personally not convinced - but then I have an
investment in my existing subject-based folder structure, and haven't
seriously tried the alternative.
