i have had problems with both of these games wroking on
my system. Far Cry will install but wont play- all system
specs are more than is required to run prog but wont
allow it to.
pandora tomorrow will install and play but the graphics
of the buildings and background effects merge to form
single blocks of colour when turning around in play mode.
again system specs are greater than required. is there a
problem with xp or is there a patch that i can get to
allow these games to play proberly? any help is great
thanx

Sean,

Could you reply with a copy of your DXDiag text. This will help us direct
you in possible ways to resolve this issue.

To reply with a dxdiag text:
Click on Start -> Run and type 'dxdiag' in the run box, then click 'Ok'.
When the DirectX Diagnostic Tool window appears you will see tabs across the
top click each tab and run the diagnostic tests on each. Then click the
'Save All Information' button, which will create a text file on your system
where you specify, as in My Documents or Desktop. Open that text file, copy
the contents and paste it to a reply.

Sean,

I received your DXDiag text through e-mail.

Looking through the information, you could stand to update your display
drivers from http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp.

Your audio drivers seem to be older as well. I can't find through DXDiag
your exact audio chipset, but I looked up your motherboard at
http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=845GVM-V&class=mb and
tried to check their website for newer audio drivers. MSI's driver page
wouldn't load properly for me, so I can't tell if newer drivers are
available. Try checking for yourself, as the Microsoft corporate firewall
may be blocking me, but wouldn't block you.

Those two steps would be my first suggestion to get your games working. If
these steps don't resolve your issue, please feel free to reply to this
post, and include an updated copy of your DXDiag text.
