I am still waiting for my copy of VS 2005 that I ordered about 2 weeks ago.
When I finally get VS 2005, I will want to continue to run my projects using
2003 and at the same time I want to make a copy of my currently projects and
upgrade them to VS 2005 and .Net 2 to make sure everything works correctly
and start taking advantages of the new features.

Also, I am not sure I am ready to make the jump to 2005 cold turkey.

Is anybody running VS 2003 and VS 2005 together in the same machine without
any problems? Can I be compiling and modifying old projects in VS 2003 and
also creating new ones in VS 2005 at the same time? Any links in the
Microsoft website regarding if this is supported or not?

Thanks.

This is with the final release. I've never had any issues as far as
conflicts with the beta either.

If you don't mind me asking, why are you still running both version s and
not just the VS 2005 one?

Have you had compatibility issues? What kind of problems did you ran into
with the new version?

Was this actually due to having 2003 on the same machine?

I am guessing it was more likely due to problems with 2005.

I am not saying i haven't had problems with 2005. Just saying I have no had
problems with 2003 and 2005 coexisting on the same machine.
