I have a problem on my laptop where the fan will not stop blowing unless one
of these services is disabled: iPod service, RIP Listener, and IMAPI
CD-BURING COM Service. What is the problem??
Thanks
Justin

I guess the fan is controlled by the temperature. And it is summer. maybe
it has nothing to do with these services.

Your laptop likely has a temperature-controlled fan. If those services are
using CPU time, they may be causing your CPU to output more heat, and thus,
cause the fan to stay on.

As others say, fan is controlled by temperature. AS it get hot, due to
ambient conditions and additional work caused by processes, it will turn
on. Take care what processes you run, and alos ensure that the air
intake passages to the laptop are not filled with "gunk" or other
obstructions. Also ensure that you have clear space under the machine.
Using a laptop on a laptop somtimes makes them run hot simply becuase
of now air circulation under it.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
