Hi,

I would like to know if there is a software (possibly free) able to
handle at least in a basic way some family managent data, such as
expense tracking, inventory, tasks to do, basic project planning,
health info for family members, photo organiser and so on.
That is a mix of several programs commonly used in a family in a
single "suite".

Essential PIM (free) will do most of what you want to do. Take a look
at:

Be aware that there are FOUR download versions, free, free portable,
Pro (payware) and Pro Portable (also payware.)

I'd go for the free portable to see if it meets your needs.

(The biggest hurdle, though, is not necessarily the software itself,
but getting the whole "family" to actually use it the way you want
them to. <grin>)
