I want to show a fellow Windows user the way I had setup my screen, etc. by
sending him a screenshot via email or posting on my homepage. I am under the
impression that Microsoft's concern about reproducing a screen is that they
not be imitated or duplicated in a competing software program versus a
screenshot used for illustration or instruction. Can you clarify? Thanks.

Why would I be joking? The EULA clearly gives permission for live screen
sharing under Remote Desktop, NetMeeting or any other software whose purpose
is the same. Therefore denial of use of a "dead" screenshot for the same
purpose raises this question among many other questions that have been less
than honestly or truthfully or unambiguously answered over the years.
