Did you upgrade to XP with the printer installed?

Disconnect the printer, remove it using device manager and
reboot. Download the latest XP driver from Samsung and
reinstall it fresh, software first.

| I started using XP (home and Pro) and I have been getting

| Strange things happen between differing applications

Every print drivers have a setting to allow "draft" or "letter quality" for
the toner. Some also allow for the DPI (dots per inch).

Did not upgrade. It was a new machine. Have reverted to XP's own drivers for
the device and it now all works although have lost some functionality /
control and 1200dpi - but I can probably live without them. Might get brave
enough to reinstall Samsung drivers another day!

Thanks anyway

I know, but that wasn't the problem.

I have just looked to see whether Samsung has developed XP
drivers, they have, that would be your best option to get
full functionality. Otherwise, buy a new printer.
