Using XP SP1:I cannot uninstall NIC. I recieve "The device may be required to
boot the computer". Have removed all reg. references, disabled device etc.I'm
sure the device can't be used to boot up pc, how do I get around this message
to actually remove device+ drivers? Thankyou.

Mark,
Thanks for the reply. I've disabled the wake on LAN function in the power
mngment section of my (Award) BIOS, cannot find option re network boot drive,
but I can now remove most LAN entries in Device Manager/Network
Adapters.Unfortunately I cannot seem to remove "Packet Schedulerminiport"
entries.Re-installing new NIC and drivers still won't get internet
access,either
All thoughts gratefully received.Thanks again.

I don't know what the packet scheduler might be. Hopefully you can repost
this, and someone else will know.
