Failure to load after installing xp service pack2

I recently downloaded service pack2. After restarting,
my CPU fails to load Windows and instead I get a blue
screen stating that it cannot locate the winsrv
component. How can I resolve this?
 
Try tapping the F8 key as soon as computer is turned on,select,
safe-mode with networking,enter as ADM.,open control-panel,ADM.,
event viewer,for any event/warning,click on the url,this opens help/
support in xp.If safe mode wont run,boot to xp cd,recovery,press enter
for password,then at cmd screen type:CHKDSK C: /R When its thru
type:EXIT Let xp start-up.
