Recently bought a Brother MFC 8500. Since the CD with it
listed Windows XP, I used it to install the MFC. I got
only garbage and then on the Brother Support site I read
that the CD can't be used with XP. They said to uninstall
everything from the CD and download a driver (zipped file
ZLeMFCxp.exe) which would work. That I did and now my ADD
Hardware Wizard says the 8500 is installed and working
properly but the MFC is not recorded in my Printer and Fax
section of the Control Panel and the MFC can't be accessed
by my word processor. Any ideas on what to do now?
