My computer is doing the same thing! I get the exact same message....and my Windows XP Prof just won't boot. It keeps turning itself off and then giving me this message. It will not open in safe mode either. Does anyone know what I should do to fix this? Is there a number at Microsoft I can call? (Like...with a real person attached?) This problem won't even let me reinstall XP Prof, as it keeps turning itself off...then back on with the message screen Joel mentioned
If this is -- and it looks as though it is -- a common and/or repeatable problem....then Microsoft should have something in the FAQ, but I find nothing
