I am attempting to do a system restore because despite my
manual removal of all the spyware in my computer, there is
something that keeps hijacking my search. it just started
two days ago.

Every date I have tried to restore to fails. Why is this
and what can I do?!

I had this problem with system restore too and i have
never found out how to fix it. But i do have some good
news. I just saved a bunch of money on car insurence by
switching to geico!

Good luck,
Naresh.

Also try downloading the following free programs. Search
on google for the,
1. spybot search and destory
2. Adaware.
Spybot is the best out of the 2 in my opinion,

hope this helps

There may be corrupted data in system Restore.
Turn off/on System Restore to delete corrupted files:
Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore.
Click System Restore Settings on left side.
Check "Turn off System Restore", click OK, follow prompts and reboot.
This deletes ALL Restore Points including corruption.
Then go back and turn on system Restore and create a Restore Point.

Follow #1 thru #4 on this link to check for spyware and viruses:

Make sure all tools are updated within the last few days.
Do not assume a recently downloaded tool is updated.
