Bob

hi all.

when I open IE I now get another new ad that pops up. I
have all my firewall and popup blockers on, but somehow
this thing seems to have installed itself in my system.
The Url on the ad is :http://www.belgiandip.com/go.php?
l=0021:

any ideas how I can get rid of this, and any ideas on how
I can find the responsible parties, hunt them down and
shoot them like the dogs they are?

First eliminate any scumware.
See
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/cwshredder.zip
**Post your HijackThis log to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ or the Spyware forum at
http://forum.aumha.org/ for expert analysis, not here.**
Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:
http://aumha.org/a/parasite.htm.
If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

Download and install this HOSTS file not now. We may want to keep it, I know
I do.

The best way is to block the server from tracking you in the first place
Blocking Ads with a Hosts File. Under the Security Tab download the
hosts.zip file.
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm

Download this program "HijackThis" from the link that Frank Saunders gave
you.

Get help from the forum.

That's a diagnostic from your Sun Java VM.
Try getting help from them (or remove that software product).

I got the same problem. Tried ad-aware, spybot, Installed SP1 for
explorer. Still have the problem. If you ever figure out how to get rid
of it please tell me.

Oh and if you manage to hunt them down, please send pictures :)
