Extracting a single slide from a PowerPoint Presentation

I have a hugh PowerPoint presentation that I need to break up into several
1-slide presentations. I thought I remembered that you could extract 1 slide
at a time and save as it's own PPT, but I don't remember how.

Any ideas?

You can open PowerPoint and go to File > New. Then go to Insert > Slides from
File and select the presentation and the slide within it that you want. You'll
need to delete the blank slide that is created when you start a new
presentation. Then save it with a new name.

There is a neat little trick you can do to save out a section of slides from
of a presentation.

1) Open your presentation in a non-maximized window
2) Select the slides you want to save
3) Drag them onto the desktop. This will create a 'Scrap' file (no
kidding).
4) Double click the scrap file and the selected slides will open in a new
presentation.
5) Save as something. (delete the scrap file)

Or you can use the Save Selection tool from the XX of YY toolbar. It also
allows you to select one or several slides and save them as a new
presentation. http://billdilworth.mvps.org/PageXXofYY.htm

I think Shyam has an add-in that does this too, but didn't see it when I
looked just now.
