external Links not udpated

I have couple of workbooks with external links. Even after i click the update
button, not all the links are updated. I've noticed that couple of linked
cells show different numbers not the linked cells in the source workbook. Is
there anyway i can make sure all thel links are updated without any cells
left behind?
