Hi all,

Is there a way to use an external editor for composing messages in
Outlook? I'm not talking about Word here, but an arbitrary program -
in my case XEmacs.

No.

Right. What I'm really after is a way to quote messages in replies
properly. In Emacs there are two wonderful packages, SuperCite and
FillAdapt, that does the job nicely. Maybe I can hack something that
makes it work by interacting with the clipboard.

I've tried Outlook-Quotefix, but it doesn't seem to work
reliably. Also it's not as flexible as I want. Any other suggestions?
