Extend the Column Numbers

I have a one column which have more than 77000 records !
how can I fit it in one column , becuase I need to sort it
is there any way to extend the number of excel columns
beyond 65K

I believe you want more rows, not columns.

Possible solutions:
Switch to Quattro Pro 11, which can handle a million rows.
Switch to a database program.
Use a second sheet in Excel. You'll have to work out the sorting details
yourself. If you're sorting alphabetically, put A-L on the first sheet, M-Z
on the second.
