Express: Word 97 spell check error after XP SP2 install

First posting here, I hope I didn't use the wrong news group.

When I hit the spell check button in Outlook Express I get this error
dialog:Outlook Express
An error occurred while the spelling was being checked.
<<<<

It was previously working ok.

What changed: I formatted drive C and did a clean install from the original
XP CD (before SP1). Then I installed the SP2 upgrade from a magazine cover
CD. I was previously running XP + updates *excluding* SP2.

Any idea how I can get this working ?

Note I'm using Word *97* and the spell check runs ok in Word.

You did. You need an Outlook Express newsgroup:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress
