Ive tried many file formats when exproting various folders from outlook 2002
but it never includes the ONE column I really need, ie the RECEIEVED column

How do I force it to do that? theredoesnt seem o be a way?

Thanks

To what application do you wish to export the data?

Hi Brian

Thanks. Id be happy to get it into ANY format. Excel, CSV (dos OR WIn)
anything but whatever format I use it always ignores (bizarrely) the sent or
receieved dtata colums.

Seems pointless..

Regards.

Perhaps I wasn't clear. There must be a reason you want to export data.
WHat is that reason?

uhmmm Oh.. RIght uhmmm

Well given that outlook has an option to export folders to the formats I
want to export to, WHY does it subtract the date filed and then give you
whats left?? Thats like exporting your accounts from an Excel spreadsheet but
then wtach the export tool strip out the CASH column!! See what I mean?

So, back to the problem, I want to get the folders out just as i see them
...you know... from...to...subject..body...sent...receieved... Great... but
why does the software strip out the SENT or (indeed all) date columns..

Is there a reason this is barred? If you could, since outolooks allows users
to export the current "viewable columns" to the formats Im wanting to export
to, can we cut straight to the chase and find out why it "forgets" the date
related column in the export process, and if its for some reason "forbidden"
then could you throw some light on that>

I just want to get on and use the excel / csv / access files... and its
beginning to annoy me that I cant.

Best

But WHY? If it's to use in another instance of Outlook, then DON'T EXPORT
AT ALL. Just copy the PST and use the copy in the other instance of Outlook
(File>Open>Outlook Data File).

I'm sure there's "a reason", but I don't have a clue what it might be.
