Hi

I've been asked to look at an Access database in work. There is a problem regarding exporting a table produced via a select query from access to excel. Initially I am getting the message 'can't expand named range'. When I click ok to this message, another message comes up stating 'The instruction at "0x09b0df9c" referenced memory at "0x00000000a". The memory could not be read". Access then closes. I tried to export the table to a different spreadsheet and get the same message. Any ideas would be warmly appreciated.

Cheers

Andy

hi,
the message 'can't expand named range' is usually cause by
data that is not part of the query being in the query
range. in the process of downloading, access cannot "Move"
data out of the way and cannot overwrite it.
the other part "0x09b0df9c" referenced memory
at "0x00000000a". The memory could not be read". this is
usually a sign of coruption. if it is happening a lot you
really need to consider a re-install. if it happens with
other applications also, it could be an indication of a
bad dimm.
