Hi

I have XP Office on my machine. for reasons known only to itself - when
attempting to enter a site needed for work it hangs. It only happens on
the one site and only on my machine in the office. Anyone have any
ideas on it?

perhaps there is a security issue on the server which requires
authentication from the PC.

You've posted in a newsgroup for the XP *operating* system, not *Office*
XP. You may want to repost to an Office XP group. Here is a list of all
the MS newsgroups:

Otherwise, if you are really talking about Internet Explorer or the like
and not Office post back here with at least this information:

1. The url of the site that gives you trouble so others can check it out
for you.

2. The malware/virus status of the computer. If you think it is clean,
tell us what you did and used (names and versions of programs) to
determine this.

3. Whether you have XP Pro or Home Edition and the Service Pack level.

4. Something about your network setup and how you are accessing the
Internet with this machine.

5. What is different about this machine from the other machines that can
access the website?

Not sure if it's an Explorer or Xp problem.

1. The site is Allianzbroker.com it's a site specifically for broker
quotes.

2. the system has Macavee virus software on it - current updated
weekly.

3. I have XP Pro

4. We have broadband

5. There are only 2 XP machines in the office mine and another - the
other machines are all running with Windows 2000.

6. I was able to access the site up until 10 days ago.

I'm really not very good at this - if I'm wasting your time let me
know. I've had the support guys in and they couldn't solve it so I
decided to try 'groups' for some help.
