can i lock the task bar in win2000 as i would in win xp?

1. Go to the registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

2. Open the value TaskbarSizeMove
Set this value to 0 to lock the taskbar. If you want to unlock the
taskbar, set this value back to 1.

Hmmm... Have you tried restarting the explorer process or rebooting the
machine after changing the value?

yes i have restarted my pc many times after modifying the registry. have u
tried it in win2000 sir? can it really be locked like in win xp?
