I went to a website yesterday and started to get pop us at every site I
then went to. I ran three anti-adware and spyware programs but the pop
us are still there. They are always Microsoft Internet Exploere pop us.
I am on AOL. I also get a the message " run-time error, type mismatch"
when I start up me computer. How do I get my computer back to normal?

Was this from a VB site or script?

Do they read Messenger Service?
If so, disable the Service via services.msc

Disable Script Notices:

Check your settings here:

IE/Tools/Internet Options/Advanced/Disable Script Debugging and Display a
notification about every script error.

If you continue to get the errors after trying the above and/or the settings
become unchecked, rename mdm.exe

Thank you for your prompt reply.
These are pop ups that are in a Microsoft Internet Explorer box. I have
my privacy setting blocking instant messages. I went to a website
yesterday and this site installed, I think, something on my computer. I
am now getting 1 to 10 pop ups per minu

If you are speaking to me, please include the reply within your response.
Again, if you are speaking to me, you didn't answer any of my questions.
Anything opened within IE will read IE.....on the top border.

From here, I will need to see a screen shot (send via private email), know
if you have used the debug edits, which website, etc.

That said, if you do not know what the site installed on your computer, you
need to pay more mind. I know you mentioned that you ran cleaners....but
before responding, run this combo and good luck!

Run Ad-Aware SE, Spybot and HijackThis:

Note: Update the first two programs, once installed, before running.

Kelly,
I do not know a lot of what you are saying. I am not familiar with
computer troublshooting at all. Sorry.
First, I am on AOL using the AOL browser. Is this actually Microsoft
Internet Explorer? I do not know if anything was installed on my
computer. Just a guess as I have ran Ad-Aware, Spybot and HijackThis
and nothing has stopped the pop ups. I do not want to delete anything
on HijackThis as I do not know what I would be deleting. Should I
delete all that it came up with?
The pop ups are in a blue bordered Microsoft Internet Explorer box.
What is this mostly likely and how do I fix it? Should I delete
Explorer?

1. Find the option to include the previous reply within your next reply.

2. HijackThis is easy to read. If it makes no sense to you:

3. What exactly does the box read inside and did you apply the debug
measures?

4. Uninstall IE, no.

We (AOL/IE/XP) can't help you unless you tell us what EXACTLY you did and
WHERE.

Kelly,
Inside the boxes (pop ups) are various advertisements. It seems like
every website I go to I get a different opo up ad. Have you heard of
these symptoms before?
