whenever I try to use explorer I get the "page cannot be displayed" page (i'm using netscape now). This is also affecting my AOL, which is extremely annoying. My files are all up to date, and I have tried reinstalling explorer several times. I have also tried to perform a system restore, but I get the following error message: "rstrui.exe - Entry point not found: the procedure entry point RemoteAssistancePrepareSystemRestore could not be located in the dynamic link library winsta.dll."

I think the problem originated when I tried to use "spyware nuker"---i tried to delete files from the registry using the list that its search generated; i may have deleted something by mistake.

PLEASE help me get my computer back!

Umm..longshot maybe. I assume you mean Internet explorer. Clean out all your Temp
internet files and temp files. This likely won't help with your system restore
problem, but might help with regard to IE.

Try a simple test...

Use Windows FIND tool to locate a file named HOSTS - that has no
extension. If it's found, rename it to HOSTS.BAK. Ignore any HOSTS files
that do have an extension.

What does that do, other than give the file a .bak extension?

Thanks,
