May I ask if anyone has any ideas regarding this problem?
Dell inspiron 4150 running xp pro, and IE6: every time i open up IE6,
the program hangs, and I have to end it thru the task manager. always
get the same error signature error, that identifies ModName:
wininet.dll.
Same error occurs when i open outlook express and try to view any html
email.
Thought it might be due to some spy-ware so ran ad-aware 6, and
spybot... found plenty, and deleted. System still hangs.
On a parallel track: the norton antivirus had been acting strangely.
i couldn't switch it to auto-on, and it would always return a script
error. After several system scans, it did come up w/ w32.netsky.p....
i ran the disinfectant utility at norton's site, and it found nothing.
Many thanks in advance for any help you may provide.
