I'm having to reboot my machine, (or scram explorer and restart it) once a
day. The memory used by explorer.exe gradually expands till resorces are
above 1 gig, at which time the disk swapping really starts to bog the OS down.
XP 3000+ AMD with a gig of Ram. Win XP Pro, completely patched, SAV Corp 9,
Sygate Personal firewall, Win FW OFF, behind a router, weekly sweeps by 2
spyware programs, this machine seems to be squeaky clean. I'm tired of it, I
used to reboot it once a month (patch tuesday), Getting ready to reload. but
before I do, I'd really like to do some meaningful failure analysis. Any
ideas as to how to track down the offending process or program?
