explorer.exe error: wininet.dll

Hi,

When I click on any option start menu (for example ´My
Documents´) I get a error message "Explorer.exe detected an
error and must be closed". In the detailed information
wininet.dll appears as module failing. Anyone knows what i
can do about this?!!?
I saw that someone had the same question already, but i
can´t find any answers on it.

Hello!
Did you do this:-

Start > Run sfc /scannow
Also

Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to
close...

Apparently the reason this might be happening is because of
some bad piece of code in a IE search-hijacker.

Downlaod this and run one or both these to ferret out
spyware as a possible culprit.

You may try contacting Microsoft with the error.


I am having the exact same problem and soo are others. It
seems like a Microsoft Issue and I hope that MS makes a
patch for this soon. Someone earlier when I posted the
exact same problem said to use Spybot. Spybot makes no
difference. Anyone got any ideal on how to fix this?
